Reward of up to $50,000 Offered for Information in Serial Bank Robbery Investigation

Area law enforcement create a multi-agency task force comprised of FBI, ATF, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Police, Pinellas Park Police and FDLE to identify bank robbery suspect.  Information is being sought from the public to help identify the unknown suspect who is believed to be responsible for several bank robberies in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. 
 
During each of the robberies, the suspect passed a note to the teller while displaying a black, semi-automatic handgun.  The bank robberies occurred at:
 
October 22, 2018 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 825 Brandon Blvd. W., Brandon
February 22, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 3202 Waters Av. W., Tampa
June 19, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 4300 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park
August 27, 2019 - Suncoast Credit Union, 3234 Miller Rd. S., Valrico
October 9, 2019 - Mid-Florida Credit Union, 29383 Highway 19 N., Clearwater

Investigators believe the same suspect might of also committed two carjackings at Betty's Coin Laundry in St. Petersburg.

The same suspect is believed to be responsible for the robbery and shooting of a Brink's armored car driver and Good Samaritan outside GTE Credit Union at 101 Bloomingdale Av E., Brandon on December 6, 2019.
 
Witnesses have described the suspect as a black male, approx. 30-40 yoa, 5'10" to 6', slender build, gold teeth, black hair and was seen wearing a black and gray dreadlocks wig.

Pasco Detectives Ask for Tips to Identify Robbery Suspect
January 21, 2020

STATUS: SOLVED
On January 19, 2020, at approx. 10:52 am, a male wearing all black entered the Helzberg Diamond Jewelry store at the Tampa Premium Outlets located at 2382 Grand Cypress Drive.  He brandished a firearm while demanding employees to get on the ground.  The suspect then demanded a display case of diamond rings be emptied in to his back pack.  While fleeing the store, the suspect stated he had a bomb at the front of the store and would deploy it if anyone were to follow him.  The suspect was seen entering a silver, 4-door Cadillac XTS, fleeing in an unknown direction.  The tag of the vehicle was covered with a mirrored FSU vanity plate.  The suspect was described as 5'4"-5'6" with a slim build.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Explosion of Drive-Up ATM
January 13, 2020

STATUS: OPEN
Between the evening of January 11, 2020 and the early morning hours of January 12, 2020, unknown suspect(s) utilized an unknown type of destructive device to gain access to the interior of an ATM that was located in the drive-thru of the Regions Bank located at 3522 Bell Shoals Road in Valrico.  Prior to the explosion, the lens to the exterior cameras were sprayed with black paint.  
 
Investigators believe that this incident may be related to 3 other similar incidents that occurred in the last few months, however, not all incidents resulted in an explosion.  On December 8, 2019, at 2:46 a.m., a male suspect spray painted the camera lens and tampered with the drive-thru ATM at the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 11650 Countryway Boulevard.  The other similar incidents occurred at the Regions Bank, 3522 Bell Shoals Road, on July 7, 2019 and on September 5, 2019.

TPD Detectives Want to ID Burglary Suspect Who Left in Victim's Clothes

On January 7, 2020 between 11am and 4pm, an unknown white male entered the residence at 2106 Powhattan Ave. W. in Tampa.  While inside, the suspect placed the clothing he was wearing in the kitchen trash and put on a pair of the victim's khaki shorts.  He fled the scene in the victim's clothing after taking cash that was found inside the residence.

Pasco Detectives Identify One of Five Armed Burglary Suspects

STATUS: OPEN
On September 7, 2019 at approx. 4:33 a.m., four suspects armed with firearms, entered the victim’s residence on Villa Capri Circle in Odessa.  A fifth suspect was observed outside the apartment. The suspects took a safe which contained a large amount of cash and jewelry. They also removed an Xbox One, multiple watches and a .45 caliber Smith & Wesson firearm. It is possible that the suspects reside in Hillsborough County.

Detectives have identified the third suspect seen on surveillance video entering the residence as Rishal Shrestha, 06/19/2000.  An arrest warrant for Armed Residential Burglary has been obtained for Shrestha.

HCSO Detectives Look for Bank Robbery Suspect Who Implied He Had a Gun

STATUS: OPEN
On December 27, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., after circling the parking lot, an unknown male entered the Center State Bank located at 10101 Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon.  As he approached a teller he demanded cash while implying that he had a firearm.  After receiving cash, the suspect fled in a light colored 4-door sedan eastbound on Bloomingdale Ave.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a W/M, 5'11", medium build/skin tone, wearing earrings in both ears, dark colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and baseball cap.

FDLE Agents Continue to Search for Brian Klecha

STATUS: OPEN

On December 27, 2017, Brian Edward Klecha was last seen making a banking transaction at MidFlorida Credit Union in Auburndale.  Brian, a Disney Corporation employee, has ties to Hillsborough, Orange and Polk Counties.  FDLE Agents believe that Brian did not go missing on his own and suspect he may have been the victim of domestic or drug abuse. 

On February 11, 2018, his vehicle, a Jeep, was found abandoned on State Road 618 in Tampa near the Morgan Street exit.  Investigators believe the vehicle had been in a car accident a few days earlier.

On December 19th, 2019 at approximately 4:40 p.m. an unknown female entered the BB&T Bank located at 2211 US Highway 19 in Holiday.  The female, captured on surveillance video, handed the teller a note demanding cash.  After receiving the cash she fled the bank on foot.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Help to Identify Male Suspect

On December 8, 2019, at approximately 6:00 a.m., an unknown white male entered the Circle K Gas Station located at 6009 Highway 579 in Seffner. 
 
The male suspect demanded money from the clerk. After the clerk refused to give the male suspect the money, the male suspect fled the store on foot.
The male suspect was last seen heading south toward Highway 92 E.
 
The male suspect was caught on the store surveillance.

Tampa Police Search for Homicide Suspect

On December 5, 2019, at approximately 9:07 p.m., an adult male victim had been shot in the 1600 block of North Bay Street E. in Tampa.
The adult male victim was found deceased.
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, aprox. 30-40 years of age, last seen wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and dark blue pants. He is considered armed.
