On March 14, 2025 a homicide occurred in the Holiday Lake Estates area of Holiday. As a result, the victim, Miguel Angel Santiago, was pronounced deceased. During the course of the investigation, one suspect has been identified as Adrian Golden-Rodriguez, DOB 11/02/2006. An arrest warrant for Homicide has been obtained. Adrian's whereabouts are unknown at this time. Detectives are seeking the publics assistance in locating Adrian Golden-Rodriguez and any information about the case in regards to other possible suspect(s). On February 16, 2025 at approx. 9:30 p.m., the victim, who was identified as Johnnie James III, was shot near 1807 E. Warren Street in Plant City. James was sitting inside his vehicle, which was parked in front of his father's residence, when an unknown suspect(s) in a black sedan, possibly a Dodge Charger, approached the vehicle from behind. As the suspect(s) approached James' driver's door, multiple shots were fired into the vehicle. Johnnie James III died as a result of the injuries sustained from the gunfire. A passenger inside James' vehicle was struck by incoming gunfire and sustained minor injuries.

On New Year's Eve, an adult male security guard was shot in the 600 block of N. Ashley Street in Tampa during an attempt to disperse a large group of individuals riding electric dirt bike-style bicycles who were causing disturbances. The security guard was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

Detectives have obtained surveillance footage capturing several individuals riding similar style electric bikes around Gasparilla Plaza shortly before the shooting. It is believed there may be a connection between the suspect and members of the group seen in the video. The footage is being shared with the public in hopes of identifying additional witnesses and gathering further information that may aid in this ongoing investigation.

The homicide of Jennifer Suojanen, who was found deceased in her home on December 20, 2023 is reaching the 1-year anniversary.

 

Jennifer's husband, Sean Suojanen, has not been seen or heard from since that time and the search for him continues. Sean is 53 years old, 6'0" and approximately 250 lbs., with brown eyes and dark blonde hair, last seen on December 21, 2023 near the Margaret Drive in the area of Port Richey.

On November 16, 2024 at 8:20 pm, a 2011-2014 red Dodge Charger with silver rims, was traveling eastbound on SR-674. West of 4th Street, the vehicle overtook and collided with a 19-year-old male bicyclist from Guatemala who was traveling eastbound on SR-674. Following the collision, the unknown driver fled the crash scene, leaving behind vehicle parts from the front portion of the vehicle. The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital and later died from injuries suffered during the crash.

On September 5, 2024 at approx. 12:45 p.m., three adult black subjects, (see photos), stole property from a business in the 15200 block of US Highway 19 in Hudson. The subjects entered the business and engaged in a verbal dispute with another person inside. They proceeded to steal the business’s cash register and left on foot. They may be driving a dark colored Ford Expedition (see photo).

A shooting occurred on August 3, 2024 around 6:40 p.m. in the Trilby Road area of Dade City. The suspect drove westbound past two individuals walking along the Withlacoochee State Trail, then turned around, slowed the car and fired one shot out of the back passenger window. One of the individuals, an adult, was shot and transported to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male teenager wearing a red or burgundy pullover hoodie. The suspect may have been driving a blue 2012 to 2019 Nissan Versa, see photos.
