PCPD Detectives Work to Identify Suspects Using Fake Money for Purchases

On March 16, 2019 two black females and one white male entered the Walgreens located at 2102 Baker Street West in Plant City. Each subject passed multiple counterfeit bills while making a purchase. They also used the fake currency to load cash value onto a pre-paid VISA card.
A day earlier on March 15, 2019, a black female, black male and white male entered the CVS located at 403 Alexander Street North in Plant City. The subjects loaded a pre-paid VISA and paid for the card with counterfeit bills. The subjects utilized a silver SUV or van.
Detectives believe the same persons are responsible for passing fake currency at both locations.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Car Thief Who Hits House with Car

On January 19, 2019 at 1:55 a.m., an unknown male entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked at 3704 Arlington Avenue North in Tampa. Once inside, the suspect found keys to the vehicle. While attempting to take the vehicle, the suspect struck the side of the house with the vehicle. The suspect was captured on surveillance video before he fled on foot.

On March 12, 2019 at approximately 9:10 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 1900 block of Rally Lane in Holiday. It is believed that the unknown suspect(s) shot from a vehicle as it passed by the residence. An adult and juvenile victim sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. A vehicle was seen fleeing from the scene immediately after the shooting occurred. See photo of vehicle.

HCSO Detectives Want to ID Suspect Taking Children's Clothing

On February 14, 2019 at 4:40 p.m., an unknown black male entered Macy's at Citrus Park Mall and selected a variety of children's Polo shirts. The suspect was caught on store surveillance video removing the shirts from a hanger and placing them in a Macy's shopping bag that he had in his possession. The suspect attempted to leave the store with the shirts valued at approximately $980, passing all points of sale. The suspect was confronted by Macy's Loss Prevention personnel and dropped the bag of clothing. The suspect fled in a Toyota Camry, green in color.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Afternoon Bank Robbery

Update: 2/28/19 - Vehicle has been recovered by law enforcement.
On February 22, 2019 at approximately 3:00 p.m., an unknown black male entered the Mid-Florida Credit Union located at 3203 Waters Avenue West in Tampa. The male approached a teller while displaying a handgun and provided a note demanding money. The suspect is described as being 28-35 yoa, 5'11, 200 lbs., wearing a blue plaid shirt, jeans, having a black beard and black and silver dreads. Once he received the cash, he fled eastbound on Waters Avenue in a metallic red 4-door sedan. The vehicle possibly had damage above the driver's side rear wheel well. Detectives believe that it is possible the suspect was wearing a wig.

Pasco Detectives Work To ID Suspect Who Robbed a Grocery Store

On February 20, 2019 at approximately 9:03 p.m., an unknown white male entered the Save-a-Lot located at 8854 State Road 52 in Port Richey. The male approached a cashier and threatened to "get violent" with her if she did not open the cash drawer. The cashier complied and the suspect took cash before fleeing the store. The suspect fled in a white Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town n Country. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40's or 50's, balding, hair on sides and back of head, last seen wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants. Detectives believe that this same suspect could be involved with other robberies in Hernando County.

On February 9, 2019 at 5:00 pm, an unknown suspect(s) shattered the passenger window of a Volkswagon while it was parked at the LA Fitness located at 301 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa. The suspect(s) took the victim's wallet from the center console cup holder. A short time later, an unknown black male used a stolen credit card to purchase gift cards at the Walgreen's located at 3863 Dale Mabry Highway South and then at the Walgreen's located at 4738 Gandy Boulevard, both in South Tampa. The fraudulent purchases occurred while the victim was still inside the LA Fitness.

Once inside, they walked down the service hallway and later entered the Leroux Tattoo Shop through the rear service entrance. The suspects took cash from a cash registered then left the area the same way they entered.

From September 4, 2018 through October 1, 2018, an unknown female utilized the victim's identity to open an account with First Tech Federal Credit Union and obtain a $40,000 line of credit. The female used the fraudulent credit card to make purchases totaling $40,000 at Publix, Target and Winn Dixie stores throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties. The suspect is described as a black female, 18-30 yoa and possibly pregnant.

On February 9, 2019 just after 5 am, two unknown black males and an unknown black female entered the Walmart on Highway 674 in Wimauma and selected a variety of merchandise that included: bedding, vacuums and a children's swing set. The suspects left the store without paying for the merchandise valued at $1,605.28. The suspects fled the store in a dark colored SUV.
