In the early hours of August 13, 2023, near Jenkins Street/S. Morgan Street in Plant City, a father and son exited their vehicle in an attempt to de-escalate an argument between a family member and an unknown male when they were shot. Both victims died as a result of their injuries. The suspects are believed to be driving a black, early 2000 2-door Ford Mustang with loud exhaust and a dark colored sedan.

On August 7, 2023 around 1:20 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a business located in the 15300 block of US 19 in Hudson. He then displayed a firearm and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect left in a blue SUV which was later found by deputies. The suspect appears to be a male and may have a tattoo or marking on the top of his right hand.

Pasco Detectives Seek Information from the Public on Suspicious Death

Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the Westcott Dr. area of Port Richey. The case began as a death investigation, however, through continued investigation, the circumstances of the death became suspicious. Just before 7 a.m. on July 8, 2023, deputies were alerted to a deceased adult male inside a home on Westcott Dr. Through investigative efforts, detectives were able to determine that there does not appear to be a public safety threat. Detectives are seeking any information that could assist with the investigation.

Plant City PD Detectives Ask for Tips in Road Rage Shooting

On April 18, 2023, shortly after 9:00 p.m., in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in Plant City, a road rage incident took place between the victims and the suspect. The suspect shot at the occupants of the vehicle. The female victim, identified as Elizabeth Arrieta, 29 years old, sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and died as a result of her injuries. An adult male victim was injured in the shooting. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver, 2009-2015 Toyota Prius 4-door with no tinted windows, a blue hue to the headlights and a paper tag. The black male suspect continued to travel eastbound on Interstate 4.

Tampa PD Detectives Investigate Homicide on Nebraska Avenue

During the evening hours of June 13, 2023, in the 1500 block of Nebraska Ave., an adult black male, in his mid-thirites, was found by officers sufferring from upper body trauma. After being transported to a local hospital, the victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid- thirties and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray jogging pants. It was reported that the suspect fled the scene in a black SUV, possibly a Nissan.

He was carrying a camouflage backpack while riding a black mountain bike heading north on Land O’ Lakes Blvd.

Pasco SO Detectives Seek Tips to Identify Person(s) Responsible for Shootings

On May 6, 2023 at approx. 5:50 a.m., an unknown suspect shot from a moving vehicle near the intersection of Shady Hills Rd. and Gifford Ln. in Shady Hills. Preliminary information indicates an individual in a black SUV appears to have fired a shot at a vehicle passing in the opposite direction, causing minor injuries to the driver of the other vehicle.
This incident may be related to other shootings which occurred involving traveling vehicles that were struck by bullets in the Hudson and Shady Hills areas between November 2022 and May 2023 during the early morning and late evening hours.

FHP Troopers Search for Suspect After Interstate 4 Shooting

On April 28, 2023 at 10:40 p.m., the victims were traveling westbound on Interstate 4 near Branch Forbes Road in Plant City. For an unknown reason, the passenger side of the Volkswagen Jetta was struck by two bullets, one of which penetrated the vehicle and struck a 14 year old child's leg. The suspect description is unknown at this time.

On Saturday, April 22, 2023 at approx. 7:00 p.m., a shooting occurred at Watson Park located at 14536 19th Street in Dade City after an altercation between subjects who had an on-going dispute escalated. Shots were fired by unknown suspect(s) into the crowd that was gathered for a birthday party. As a result, three (3) adults were shot. One of the victim's died as a result of the injuries they sustained.

TPD Detectives Release Composite Sketch

On April 18, 2023, shortly after 11:00 p.m., a Hispanic female in her early 20s, attempted to make a DoorDash delivery to the Residence Inn located at 4312 W. Boy Scout Blvd. While walking up to the hotel to make the delivery, the victim was approached by a black male armed with a gun, who forced her back into her car. The suspect forced the victim at gunpoint to drive to the Belara Lakes Apartments located at 8402 N. Waterford Ave, where he then sexually battered her. The victim's family, who had been tracking her phone, arrived at the apartment complex and rescued her from the car. The suspect responded by firing multiple times, with one shot striking a family member of the victim’s girlfriend, a female in her 20s, before fleeing the scene. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20s-early 30s, approximately 6'2" tall, with a thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a blue, long-sleeved shirt or hoodie and black pants. He was armed with a handgun.
